What it does

Architectural guide for utilizing Krita AI Diffusion with local ComfyUI. Enables professional illustrators and concept artists to paint selective masks, guide generation with ControlNet poses, and blend AI-synthesized details directly onto raster layers.

Installation & Setup

Level: intermediate

Install Krita 5.2+.
Install Krita AI Diffusion via Settings -> Manage Resources -> Import Bundles/Plugins.
In the AI Diffusion docker, connect to local ComfyUI server (`http://127.0.0.1:8188`).
Select any layer, use the freehand brush to paint a mask, enter a prompt, and click Inpaint.

Prerequisites: Krita 5.2+, local ComfyUI instance or remote server with NVIDIA GPU

Security & Privacy Notes

Open-source GPL-3.0 plugin. When connected to local ComfyUI, zero data is transmitted over the public internet.
