What it does

Standard operating procedure for mastering spoken-word podcasts, interviews, and voiceovers. Auphonic balances disparate vocal volumes, strips acoustic room reverberation, and normalizes integrated loudness to -16 LUFS for Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Installation & Setup

Level: beginner

Log into Auphonic at https://auphonic.com.
Create a new Production and upload your raw vocal recording (WAV or MP3).
Enable 'Adaptive Leveler' and select 'Target Loudness: -16 LUFS (Podcasts)'.
Enable 'Noise & Hum Reduction' and 'Auto Highpass Filter'.
Start Production and download the finished master file.

Prerequisites: Modern web browser or Auphonic desktop client

Security & Privacy Notes

Audio files are processed over TLS and stored temporarily during production before automatic deletion.
