What it does

Terminal-based AI coding partner that edits files in your local Git repository and automatically creates clean, well-crafted Git commits with descriptive messages as changes pass tests.

Installation & Setup

Level: intermediate

pip install aider-chat
aider --model claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022

Prerequisites: Python 3.9+, Git, API Key (Anthropic or OpenAI)

Security & Privacy Notes

All changes are tracked via standard Git commits. Easy to rollback using 'git reset'.
